I'm not gonna lie it's looking bleak. I'm sorry, but the development team kinda disintegrated on us and the whole end of 2024 action fizzled out.
I'm still working on it, but i don't want to give you false hope, just mabye.... come look here once in a while (or join discord just to have notifications), if mabye something happened, but don't expect much.

3)Making things that are not needed by the game but i want to make them which means I have like 3 "stories" in development, i started a RPG fighting style thing, i wanted to add a proceduraly generated "what will i have for breakfast" thing so i made something, i wanted to add a new shop, some random characters got created and so on.... which means what i now have is WORSE than before i joined the project. And nothing of that will probably remain if and when there is an update.
Like there is progress toward something.... the game is not dead (at least not in my mind) and theres about 70k new characters in my draft document not to mention my pathetic attempts at javascript and CSS. But it's still worse than whay you can see here.
If you want to listen to me moan about my incompetence (or provide ideas) you can join the discord.

It was really harsh but they also are not wrong, while it isn't your job it is your project regardless of if it is free or not there is a difference between even a quarterly post with an update for those that don't want to join your discord and what is going on now which makes it really sound and feel like a dead game. On top of that you are saying there is ok activity on discord which means you have the bulk of an update post already, updates saying hey here is the state of it this is why it has been quiet this is our outlook for the next 3-4 months is fine, yes you will get some groaners but it is being transparent it does help connect with many and it will help grow your community.
And trust me I get it that discord is much easier to communicate with your active community but remember it is a closed system and you wont get people wanting to join if all the public facing things look dead and abandoned.
well.... i mean.... yeah..... but to be fair if it did not look dead, i would have never picked it up... And it's not like i knew about the discord beforehand either....
I'm not saying i don't appreciate people at least taking the time to check on the game and ASK for updates, i'm not angry at the commenter either..... the truth is he was mostly right anyway, the game have been dead for more than a year and i'm not working at an exactly blistering pace either...
man this is so sad. I really loved this game, it was one of the firsts ones I have played and I would love to see how big the protagonist could get, but I suppose it’s impossible. I still have hope for this though.
How about this. We continue giving all our support, saying it is not dead and that the next update will be incredible. We continue saying that until the 25 of July. Once the last update gets 1 year, we can start saying it is dead. Until then, I still believe in them.
the coder poofed... again. i just dont rlly check itchio much outside of personal use but i have given some degree of updates on discord. basically, it's technically not dead but its basically sitting still until some shit changes, as for when... yeah your guess is as good as mine. If your waiting anxiously for an actual release update... yeah i'd recommend just dropping that excitement to be pleasantly surprised whenever and if-ever it does. I'm not a fan of the situation either
Well, the programmer did resurface again two months ago, said their computer issues are now fixed and that they will continue to work on the game. No update since then, though – even on Discord. There's always hope, as they say, but it doesn't look good.
well, frankly the situation is I cannot code, and my coders end up disappearing out of nowhere so i kinda just sit here w nothing i can rlly do unless someone else rolls it. It's an annoying spot I only signed up as a writer, but yeah as of rn it's at a standstill
but yeah for full transparency we got like.. 80% done converting the game to a better coding format so u could have inbuilt saves and other stuff, but then the coder i had just.. disappeared around a lil less than a month ago and well, not much I can do unless i wanted to go on another recruiting spree. Coding is just beyond my capabilities idk how to code in the slightest
Thanks for the transparency. That's a bummer, but hardly something you can do anything about. The one thing I can suggest in that situation is maybe trying to get workable code in the programming language you need from ChatGPT. It worked for me once and my coding skills are nonexistent as well. If you know what you want coded and/or you have the code for the game available, then maybe that's worth a try.
Anyway's, It's good to know what's going on. Maybe they'll show up again one day.

Awselme game by an awesome dev. He is allways so transparent with his on time schedule and updates on the game's develoapment.

Hi, I don't know that problems happened during the development but I could help with the programming, I have some experience with twine.

5 months ago the coder reappeared and then vanished again, since then silence.
